Find your interests and build skills with Career Technical Education!

CTE pathway options

Every February, Career Technical Education (CTE) Month shines a spotlight on programs that equip students with real-world skills for future success in college, careers and beyond.

In middle school, students have the opportunity to explore different career options and interests while building foundational skills such as teamwork, leadership, creativity and problem-solving. These building blocks are expanded upon in high school, where IUSD students can take more advanced CTE college and career readiness courses that offer hands-on learning across a variety of industry sectors. Along the way, students gain both industry-specific knowledge and transferable professional skills that support success in college, university, and future careers.

For middle school students, now is a perfect time to find your interest through a career exploratory course and build skills that will prepare you for any career.

Courses include:

  • Engineering and Robotics
  • Digital Media
  • Video Production
  • Culinary Arts
  • Fashion Design

Courses vary at each school.
